The Tampa Bay Clean Up Tournamhent will be hosted by South Shore Anglers & Citgo on April 9, 2016.
Since everyone should give a day for conservation, here's a chance to give a day and fish the rest of
the year guilt free. To be a part of this event you'll join 1 of the projects that will be listed.
Tampa Bay Watch will have an oyster bar replenishment at Fantasy Island. The CCA of Hillsborough will
Captain this and may need more help. Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful will have a list of project on their
horizon and you may get involved with one that holds your interest. You may form a group to do a
project that you've considered. (Your kayak club has talked about cleaning the mangrove edges at
Bishop's Harbor). P. J. Maynard will captain the cleaning of the Little Manatee inlet and Cock Roach Bay Ramp and could use some help.

Collection sites will be at Williams Park & The Gandy Ramp. At 1:30 pm PigSilly B-B-Q will feed us at Williams
Park and there will be a presentation and prizes.

In the coming weeks there will be more info to help you make a decision. Put April 9th on your calendar
to be a part of this. There will be prizes for both adults and kids to win.

There will be a trash can slam tournament for kids. Catfish, Lady Fish and Jack Crevalle will be the slam species. A raffle ticket will be given for 1 cat, 1 ladyfish & 1 jack. Catch the slam and you get 2 extra tickets. Gift certificates for fishing gear will be the prizes for the winners.
Use the rod holder to win as you help clean up the bay.    snook crazy

Projects that boaters can help with:

I would like to enter my boat as one of two CITGO Petroleum boat entries in the April 9th Clean-up.  I am located off Westshore Blvd in Tampa and would like to concentrate on cleaning up along the Howard Franklin bridge.  Rick Jones
r

P. J. Maynard will lead a project cleaning the Little Manatee inlet and to finish make sure the area around the Cock Roach Ramp is picked up.

Are you a kayaker? There is a cut, just off of U S 41 below Gibsonton that will be cleaned out toward the Kichen. Martin George & John Bishop will lead this group.

I would like to enter my boat as the second for CITGO Petroleum on April 9th for the clean-up. I can put in at Williams Park and can service the nearby areas, ramps, beer can island. I have a crew of 4 ready to pitch in. Bill/Reelinsanty

Hello everyone,
Bill here and as soon as the winds lie down you can find me out on the water hunting kings. I love the adrenaline rush the run gives me. Born and raised here in Tampa. Grew up on the old catwalk on Gandy when I was a yonker. Hope to see you out there with tight lines and smiling faces.

I was thinking it'd be nice to clean up the Apollo Beach nature park, at the end of Apollo Bch Blvd. We could do it from shore or by boat. Let me know if you want to help, I think I already have a few to help.
I'll be at the meeting 4/7/2016.
