I've lived in the St. Pete/Clearwater area most of my life.  I've been following your club for the last year or so and it seems like a great group of guys.  Unfortunately, I haven't found anything similar on my side of the Bay so I figured I'd join up with you all... makes sense since I spend most of my time fishing on your side anyway.  Look forward to meeting some of the member and attending some events this fall.

A number of members have found new fishing partners thru the club. One knew the spots from Bishops to Joe's Island, the other is really great at fishing the Little Manatee. They've fished tournaments together for 4 years. Some have become friends for 7 years now.

I think one of the best things SSA offers is teaching newcomers "what not to do". Coming from the Delmarva Peninsula, I didn't understand 1, 2, 3 and 4 tide days.
Had no idea of when the fish spawned or how to fish mangrove lines. There are a lot of
"you tubed" seminars under the meetings header. Some check out specific ones to whatever tournament is next. Many of them are with guides that have shows of their own and you can watch without looking at commercials!

Remember the mission statement is, South Shore Anglers, a civic organization that likes to fish.        snook crazy

Thanks Snook Crazy,

I think I've watched just about every inshore seminar you guys have posted on the site.  Lots of great info! Now I'm trying to decide what my one lure is going to be for the tournament [confused]
