We left out of Macdill yesterday afternoon but soon found the weather on NOAA website wasn't that good. They say seas to 2ft bay and inland waters smooth. We were greeted by strong winds and up to 3ft swells. We didn't make it too far before deciding it wasn't worth the risk and headed back in. We fished the flats by foot on Macdill AFB. We were able to catch some finger mullet for bait. First cast my buddy hooked up with a nice Red. As the tide started going out we landed a few Lady Fish and Several Cats. We drove over to the pier side of Macdill and caught a bunch more Cats before packing it in. It was cool seeing a nice read come in of the beach there though.
